Ghana Backs Germany for Permanent U.N. Security Council Seat

Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo is to back Germany's bid for a permanent place on the UN Security Council. After meeting Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Wednesday, Akufo-Addo said the UN's top council for international peace and security does not reflect today's reality.  The president is in Germany after a visit to the U.S. in which he gave the first address by an African leader to the U.S. National Governors Association in Washington, DC. He is now set to return to the U.S. capital to take part in a forum organized by the Amercan-Israel Public Affairs Committee.
