Fired South African Minister Resigns as MP
The African National Congress has announced that former public enterprises minister Lynne Brown resigned as a member of parliament. Brown was removed from her position in Cabinet in President Cyril Ramaphosa's reshuffle. She was held accountable, among others, for the spectacular failings at power utility Eskom, which had received numerous bailouts by the government for them to pay their creditors.
