Kenya's Treasury Makes U-Turn on 'Broke' Comments

National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich who earlier claimed that the government was broke,has dismissed the reports, saying it was "fake news." Rotich has told the Senate committee on Finance and Budget that the drawn-out election in 2017 and persistent drought were to blame for a slow-down in business, which meant less taxes into state coffers
