South Africa's Largest Retail Chain Eyes Kenyan Market
Shoprite has secured space at seven prime shopping malls in Kenya, which it plans to open in the coming months. Two of Kenya's three top retailers - Uchumi Supermarkets and former East Africa giant, Nakumatt - are failing, opening the door to chains such as Shoprite and French multinational retailer, Carrefour.
