Child Labourers Poisoned on Zimbabwe Tobacco Farms - Report
Malpractice in Zimbabwe's tobacco growing industry is rampant, Human Rights Watch has reported, after an investigation documenting how children work in hazardous conditions performing tasks that threaten their health and safety. The report says child workers are exposed to nicotine and toxic pesticides and many suffer symptoms consistent with nicotine poisoning from handling tobacco leaves.
