'Challenges' Encountered in South African Political Murders Probe

Witness intimidation has been noted as one of the chief problems facing an investigation into political killings in KwaZulu-Natal where Premier Willies Mchunu established the Moerane Commission to probe the high number of politically motivated murders in the province. Police Minister Bheki Cele said a preliminary report would be shared with the public once it has been handed to President Ramaphosa.
