Rwanda, France Vow to Join Forces on Issues of Mutual Concern

President Paul Kagame and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron have had talks that covered a range of areas, largely in Kagame's capacity as African Union Chairperson. They held a joint press conference at Élysée Palace and are hoping to move forward after bitter differences over Rwanda's 1994 genocide which left over 1 million Tutsis dead in 100 days.
