Ugandan Opposition Party Wins By-Election
The opposition Forum for Democratic Change candidate Betty Muzanira has been elected winner of the Rukungiri District Woman MP By-election. Muzanira beat her biggest rival, ruling party National Resistance Movement's Winfred Matsiko by 4282 votes. The seat fell vacant after the appeal court nullified Matsiko's election following a petition by Muzanira.
