Namibian Authorities Swamped By Hundreds of Fake Marriages

The Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration has revealed it continues to battle the so-called 'marriages of convenience', mostly involving foreigners aiming to live in the country. The ministry recorded a total of 6,512 marriages from 2016 to 2017 and of that number, 440 were of Namibians who married foreign nationals.
