Joyce Banda Left Malawi's Economy in Tatters - Mutharika
In an interview with a London-based New African magazine, Malawi President Peter Mutharika said he inherited a "tattered and bankrupt economy" four years ago from his predecessor, Joyce Banda. Mutharika who is seeking a second five-year term in the 2019 elections says he is leading the nation on a path of sustainable growth.
