Investigation After Woman Found Alive in South African Morgue

The Gauteng health department is investigating an incident in which a woman was found alive in a mortuary fridge in Carletonville, west of Johannesburg - hours after paramedics declared that she was dead. The woman had been certified dead at the scene of a vehicle accident.
