Nigerian Governor Fayose In Eye of Political Storm

The Ekiti State police command has said that it stopped a rally called by Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, to avoid an outbreak of violence between the two leading political parties, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party and the ruling All Progressives Congress. However, Fayose supporters say they are planning a peaceful march to the various state police commands to protest against alleged police brutality, following an attack on Fayose by security operatives, when he was teargassed and assaulted.
