Ex-Health Chief Behind Esidimeni Tragedy Returns to ANC Committee

Qedani Mahlangu, the former health MEC responsible for South Africa's Life Esidimeni tragedy in which over 140 mental health patients died after being transferred to unlicensed NGOs, has been re-elected to the Gauteng Provincial Executive Committee in a decision The Daily Maverick's Stephen Grootes says "might have enormous implications for the province".
