The Telltale Signs That You May Be Having a Stroke
A stroke, also known as a cerebrovascular accident, is caused by the interruption of the blood supply to the brain - usually because a blood vessel burst, or is blocked by a clot cutting the supply of oxygen which causes damage to the brain tissue. Some symptoms of a stroke include a sudden weakness or numbness of the face, arm or leg or one side of the body, confusion and difficulty speaking or understanding speech.
