DP Ruto Promises to Look Into Kenyan Judiciary's Funding Woes

Deputy President William Ruto has said there will be talks to make sure there is a solution to the concerns raised about the cutting of funds for the country's court system. The judiciary had asked for a budget of U.S.$311 million but the national treasury capped it at U.S.$172 million. parliament further reduced it further to U.S.$144 million.

Chief David Maraga Justice has said as a consequence of budget cuts, 41 government-funded projects will stall with another 29 funded by the World Bank facing similar fate.
