Chamisa Claims Zimbabwe Poll Win, Presidential Results on Hold

MDC Alliance presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa has thanked Zimbabweans for their support in an announcement that says "we have won the popular vote" - made soon after the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission said they were no longer releasing the results of the presidential elections on Tuesday, August 1. The delay in the final results has sparked running street battles between protesters and authorities.
