Helen Zille has come under fire for comments on colonialism once again. In a repeat of the Western Cape Premier's statements following a trip to Singapore in 2017, Zille argued the benefits of colonialism when she responded to a Twitter user who slammed the Democratic Alliance and U.S. President Donald Trump. Zille's tweet comes after Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba unfavourably compared President Cyril Ramaphosa to President Trump in a now-deleted image.
