FIFA Threatens Ban on Nigeria, Ghana If Ultimatums Not Met

The world football ruling body has given both countries an August 20 deadline to stop government interference in its football associations, or face expulsion from all FIFA activities. The tussle for power in the Nigeria Football Federation is still continuing, with Chris Giwa and Amaju Pinnick factions yet to settle their differences. Ghana is battling to get their football back on track after a bribery exposé involving top match officials, which saw the government dissolving its soccer association.
