State Charges Uganda MP Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine With Treason

The international community has joined East Africans in condemning the arrest and beating of opposition politician Robert Kyagulanyi in Uganda. Military court charges against the man better known as Bobi Wine were dropped, only for the State to rearrest him and charge him with treason.

Ugandan MP Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine appeared in a military court in Gulu. Those charges were dropped, but he was rearrested and then appeared in a civil court.

During his visit to the Kampala prison on August 22, Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah said the MP is in a lot of pain and also condemned his beating.
