New Taxes Push Kenyans to Pay More for Calls, Data

Kenyans will have to dig deeper into their pockets to call and send messages following the increase in charges on voice calls, SMS and data services. Earlier, the country's three main mobile money service operators had protested against a new government tax, saying it would hurt the poor most and undo most of the gains in promoting a digital economy.
