Film Raises Funds for Isolated Hospital in Sudanese War Zone

The documentary, The Heart of Nuba, profiles Tom Catena, a U.S. doctor serving one million people living in the war-torn Nuba Mountains of Sudan. Most of the medical staff of international aid agencies left the mountain region after the violence intensified, but one doctor stayed. The film has been showing around the United States and abroad to raise money for Mother of Mercy Hospital and to date, the screenings have pulled in U.S.$500,000.
