'We Have Nothing' - Tension as South African Town Protests

"We want the mayor to give us proper places to stay," said a protestor from the Western Cape town of Vredenburg where service delivery protests for better housing and infrastructure saw residents take to the streets, burning tyres and blocking traffic.

Over a thousand residents protested along Southern Bypass Street in Vredenburg.

About 100 protesters marched through town. Some erected burning barricades.
