The Minefield Walked By Transgender People In Zimbabwe

In a country where there is no provision for transgender people to change their gender marker on their birth certificates, it leaves them open to accusations of having same-sex relationships, which are illegal in Zimbabwe. The gender category is not officially acknowledged, so many transgender people are forced to identify as either male or female on official documents.
