South African Matric 2018 - Minister Announces 78.2% Pass Rate

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga has announced that the overall 2018 matric pass rate in government schools, with progressed pupils included. She said this was a 3.1 percentage point improvement on the 75.1% achieved in 2017. She had earlier announced results from independent schools.
