Islamophobia In the Age of the Internet

We are living in an age where extremism, no matter where on the spectrum, seems irreversible, where extremist ideology is metastasising on social media networks as well as chatrooms and where policy paralysis only accelerates hatred and societal divides, writes Jasmine Opperman for Daily Maverick. This comes in the wake of mosque attacks in Christchurch New Zealand in which 50 worshippers were killed and several others injured.
