Why East African Coffee Is in Danger of Extinction
Poor agricultural practises among many smallholder farmers are causing the decline of coffee species like Arabica and Robusta, a study has revealed. Drought and lower crop cycles are also contributing factors. Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania is home to 15 of the 75 species that are threatened with extinction.
