Activists Petition Uganda, DR Congo to Stop Oil Exploration
Almost fifty international and civil society organizations have asked President Yoweri Museveni and his Congolese counterpart Felix Tshisekedi, to stop the licensing for oil and gas exploration near the Virunga ecosystem saying it would impact negatively on biodiversity and also the communities who depend on these resources for survival.
