U.S. Says Nigeria, Niger Improving Anti-Trafficking Efforts

A report has credited Nigeria for ending the use of child soldiers by a government-supported armed group and initiating prosecutions against seven government officials allegedly complicit in trafficking. Niger has also be credited for convicting more traffickers, training more law enforcement officers and coordinating with traditional leaders to rescue child victims of forced labour, it said.
