Uganda Meets WHO Goal of Tackling Hepatitis B

Uganda has become the first and only country in Africa to reach and surpass the World Health Organisation's 2020 target of ensuring access, treatment and public awareness of Hepatitis B, a viral infection that attacks the liver. Over U.S.$ 3 million has been spent on free screening for over four million people since 2015.
