Mandla Maseko, the first black African selected to travel to space has died, his family has confirmed. He was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle on Saturday. Maseko, popularly known as Spaceboy and Afronaut, was one of 23 people who won a seat on an hour-long sub-orbital trip sponsored by the Axe Apollo Space Academy in 2014.
