Facebook Faces $5-Billion Fine Over Cambridge Analytica Scandal
Facebook has been fined U.S.$5 billion for its involvement in Cambridge Analytica's role in obtaining the data of 87 million Facebook users. The same political consultancy company was instrumental in President Uhuru Kenyatta's election campaign - painting him in a positive light while smearing his main rival Raila Odinga during the 2013 and 2017 election periods.
