Tanzania Buries Dozens of People Killed in Fuel Tanker Blast

The death toll in the Saturday August 10 fuel tanker blast has risen to 71, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa told mourners at a mass burial ceremony. The tragedy occurred when a crashed tanker exploded as crowds rushed to syphon off leaking petrol. President John Magufuli has declared a period of mourning following the deadly blast near the town of Morogoro, west of Dar es Salaam.
