Scores Dead, Thousands Homeless in Sudan Flooding

The United Nations reports that nearly two months of heavy rains and flooding in Sudan have wiped out livelihoods, rendered tens of thousands of people homeless and created a humanitarian emergency. The country's Acting Unsdersecretary for the Federal Ministry of Health, Suleiman Abdul-Jabbar, says that 17 states in the country have been affected by the floods and 62 people have died.
