Museveni Rejects Uganda's Minimum Wage Law

President Yoweri Museveni has declined to sign the Minimum Wage Bill, 2015 saying issues it intends to cure are already addressed in the Minimum Wages Advisory Boards and Wages Council Act. Parliament enacted the bill in February 2018 to provide for minimum wage for all workers, something not provided for in the current laws.
