New DNA Analyser Set to Reduce Kenya's Unsolved Case Backlog

Unsolved murder cases, which have been delayed due to a backlog in sample analysis, are now set to be concluded following the acquisition of a state-of-the-art genetic analyser at the government laboratory in Kenya.

The equipment offers a shorter average run time of about 45 minutes. As a result, it can expeditiously analyze several DNA samples on evidential material collected from crime scenes.
