As Senators, We Deserve New SUVs, Lawmaker Tells Nigerians
The Senate has described the public condemnation of its planned purchase of Sport Utility Vehicles amounting to U.S.$15,000 per vehicle for the senators as an insult. Yahaya Abdullahi, leader of the Senate has said that each of the 109 senators in the upper chamber would get one SUV, which would be paid for at the end of their four-year legislative tenure.
