Malawi Govt Supporters in Violent Clash With Protesters

Several human rights activists and commentators have warned the Malawian government against letting the country degenerate into a state of lawlessness after members of the governing Democratic Progressive Party youth wing clashed violently with opposition groups protesting the result of presidential elections in May. Human Rights Defenders Coalition official Billy Mayaya was injured in the skirmish, along with other people.
