Power Utility Eskom to Face Major Operational Revamp
South African power utility Eskom has been at the centre of a major financial meltdown for a number of years, with several bailouts from the government to prevent ongoing loadshedding in the country. This as a result of ageing infrastructure, problems with coal supply and corruption allegations against its leadership. The government now says that steps need to be taken to revamp the parastatal.
