Calls for the Protection of Lions Roar on World Animal Day
The Humane Society International/Africa and FOUR PAWS South Africa have joined forces this World Animal Day with a roaring call urging travellers, travel guides and tour operators to fight lion exploitation by refusing to participate in or promote human-lion interactions. This comes after environment protection group the Green Scorpions foiled an alleged lion bone-smuggling attempt at OR Tambo International Airport.
