Kenyan Govt Officials May Soon Have Financials Open to Scrutiny

The Lifestyle Audit Bill is seeking to remove restrictions placed on citizens seeking information on income, assets and liabilities of persons holding public office, in efforts to fight corruption. It will demand that self-declared wealth declaration forms are made available to the public through a website or in an unrestricted database hosted by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
