On World Food Day 2019, CAR Tops Global Hunger Index

With one-third of food produced for human consumption lost or wasted, and millions still going hungry, humanitarian agencies are shining a spotlight on the issue on World Food Day 2019. The UN's Food and Agriculture Organization has published its annual State of Food and Agriculture report, while the Global Hunger Index says that progress towards a 2030 zero hunger target agreed by world leaders is "under threat or is being reversed". Unicef has also released a report saying that an alarmingly high number of children are suffering the consequences of poor diets and a food system that is failing them.
