Refugees Demand Relocation During Protest in South Africa

Hundreds of refugees and asylum seekers have protested outside the offices of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Cape Town calling for relocation to countries including Canada, the U.S., New Zealand and Australia over fears of xenophobic violence in South Africa.

Pictures of victims of xenophobic attacks were put up on the walls of the building housing the UNHCR in Burg Street, Cape Town.
