Death of Vendor in Police Custody Sparks Outcry in Zimbabwe
Tafadzwa Tamangani died in custody after he was allegedly tortured by police, triggering an angry reaction from human rights defenders. He was one of the 11 vendors that were arrested near the main opposition MDC headquarters in Harare during a police crackdown that followed the discovery of old police helmets at a nearby building.
