Malema Attack on Gordhan Is Not Hate Speech - South African Court

The Equality Court has ruled against the South African National Editors' Forum in an application to interdict the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party from intimidating, harassing and assaulting journalists. This comes as the court determined that a tirade by EFF leader Julius Malema during 2018 - where he called Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan "corrupt", "a dog of white monopoly capital" and accused him of hating black people - was not hate speech.
