Helping More Kenyan Firms Sell Avocados to China
The government has started negotiations to allow local firms to export fresh avocado to China. Stringent requirements from the Asian nation include that Kenyan farmers and traders freeze the fruit after peeling the skin and chill further while in transit, meaning that exporters have to invest heavily in cold storage facilities.
