Half of Women Worldwide Killed by their Partners or Family - UN

A third of all women and girls experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime, and the World Health Organisation says partner violence is a reality for 65% of women in some parts of sub-Saharan Africa. On this year's International Day of the Elimination of Violence against Women (November 25, 2019), the United Nations is underscoring the life-altering, adverse consequences women suffer as a result.
