What African Countries Are Doing to End Child Marriage

Child marriage remains prevalent across the continent - mostly driven by gender inequality, poverty, patriarchal traditions and the precarious socio-economic position of women, especially in rural areas. But some progress is being made - and with the UN Children's Fund report on Nigeria having the second highest number of child brides in the world, allAfrica's publishing partners look at what is being done to stop this violation of human rights.
