Kenyatta Gives Team More Time to Bridge Kenya's Troubled Waters

The team will now be tasked with steering the next phase of Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), which will involve expanding and guiding public participation, according to State House spokesperson Kanze Dena. The BBI taskforce team was put in place after President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga's infamous "handshake" in March 2018, where the two leaders pledged to end the culture of divisive elections, following a long dispute about presidential election results.
