Retail Giants Stomp on Township Competitors - How Much is Enough?

South Africa's Competition Commission has said big supermarket retailers are putting family-run kiosks and independent retailers in townships out of business. Big retail township players, Shoprite and Pick n Pay, are mum on whether they'll stop expanding their store footprint in townships, writes Ray Mahlaka for Daily Maverick.
