Union Gives Nigerian States New Deadline to Pay Minimum Wage

The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria has given the 36 states a deadline to sign all the negotiation agreements and start implementation of the new minimum wage by January 31, 2020. The union has also threatened to ensure the total shutdown of states that fail to act accordingly, saying government of such defiant states should be responsible for whatever happens as a result of non-compliance.
